It aims to provide a platform for enlightening talks that spark conversations around contemporary policy topics.
A panel discussion which provides a forum to bring together masterminds from Politics, Academics, Technology and Industry to share their thoughts on the theme for this year’s event, "Deglobalization-Is the tide reversing?
Economic Globalisation is a phenomena that started nearly 60 years before. What had started as liberalisation in trade steadily progressed to cross border flow of finance, skilled work force and capital. The Indian economy has reaped substantial benefit out of globalisation. India has contributed to the expanding global trade directly and indirectly. Of late, there are setbacks to this liberalised global trade arising out of protectionism, tariff barriers and currency wars. Such threats are coinciding with our policy efforts to accelerate our economic growth. This could be a time which will go down in history as one that can potentially redefine status quo formed over centuries of interaction. The key question is are we applying new solutions to old problems or old solutions to new problems. In this panel, the panellists will talk about how the status quo is challenged and the eminent problems that are faced in each space.
