The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore - CCGS will be hosting an International “Corporate Governance & Sustainability Conference” on 12th -13th January 2024 at its IIM Bangalore Campus, Bangalore, India. This conference assumes greater significance as CCGS celebrates its 20th Year, which is coinciding with the “Golden Jubilee Year” of IIM Bangalore.
This Conference aims to provide a venue for stimulating discussions and dialogues centering around the changing landscape of Corporate Governance, trends and challenges and to foster research about corporate governance.
Board members and CEOs deal with an abundance of issues to achieve organizational success. This conference will be held for two days and will discuss some of the pertinent issues related to corporate governance: CEO Succession Planning; Gate Keepers: Role of Auditors and Institutional investors; Independence of Independent Directors; Board Diversity: Composition - Benefits and challenges; AI, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning: Technology & Governance; Governance in Startups, SMEs, and Family-managed Businesses; ESG Disclosures and Corporate Reporting Practices; Managing the right balance between the shareholders and stakeholders; Enterprise Risk Management and Cyber Security and Governance.
We aim to create a high-level platform for CEOs, board members, senior executives, academic leaders, policymakers and practitioners to learn from and engage with each other, focusing on the most pressing topics in corporate governance.
The programme is structured to allow for extensive discussion and feedback. Accordingly, the sessions will feature invited keynote addresses, talks, panel discussions and paper presentations by well-known corporate executives, renowned academics and government leaders.
