Greetings from the Editor’s Desk!
It is my pleasure to present Volume 37: Issue 2 of the Journal, and some IMR highlights from the second quarter of 2025.
The IMR-IKS Special Issue Call for Papers, which closed on the 31st of March 2025, saw an unprecedented response from researchers across India and overseas. As the CFP states, India is one of the oldest civilisations in the world, with recorded history, cultural artifacts, and evidence pointing to more than five millennia of its existence. The knowledge practices developed by Indians have remained almost intact and were passed on “orally” down the generations, collectively referred to as the Indian Knowledge System (IKS).
The Special Issue received about 162 submissions which brings to the fore a strong undercurrent of interest among researchers in the IKS domain to seamlessly blend Ancient Indian Knowledge traditions with Contemporary Knowledge Systems. We look forward to some exciting IKS research making it to publication in the IMR Special Issue.
The CFP for the 17th edition of the IMR Doctoral Conference ( IMRDC 2026) is underway. IMRDC, a pre-eminent annual doctoral colloquium, features two full days of intense academic engagement, and brings together eminent scholars, doctoral students and interested delegates from across the country for an enriching exchange of ideas. The 2-day premier conference will feature a keynote address, panel discussions, workshops, select paper presentations by doctoral students, and networking opportunities. We encourage our readers to be part of the Conference. IMRDC 2026 is scheduled on the 9th and 10th January 2026. More information and updates would be available at www.iimb.ac.in/imrdc2026/.
We invite you to explore the June 2025 issue of the journal with its regular complement of seven articles, listed for your convenience.
We reiterate IMR’s commitment to excellence in academic publishing with a move toward article-based publishing, seen as beneficial to authors with more efficient publication timelines. Also of benefit is the article processing charges (APC) borne by IIM Bangalore, on behalf of the authors. Now a Gold Open Access journal, readers have free access to all articles published in the journal, to read and download, from ScienceDirect® at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/iimb-management-review.
We welcome any observations that you may have, as we seek to engage with our readers on contemporary issues related to management, and continually endeavour to raise the bar of excellence for IIMB Management Review.
Best Wishes,
Sushanta K Mishra
