Innovation and Leadership Beyond Borders: Best Practices from China, India & the US

ointly offered by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and the Zhejiang University School of Management, China, Innovation and Leadership Beyond Borders is a collaborative, experiential, facilitated learning experience, held in three one-week segments, designed for the senior executive interested in supercharging the innovation of business models and their own global leadership capabilities.

Areas of learning and solution approaches will include:

  • Optimizing manufacturing models (China) and service sector models (India) for cost, scale and speed
  • An on-the-ground understanding of social/business/government practices in Hangzhou (largest concentration of entrepreneurs in China), Bangalore (India's Silicon Valley), and Washington, D.C., the top three innovation hubs
  • Building skills in global leadership, innovation, business model optimization, cross-cultural management, and product/service development
  • Action Learning Projects pairing students from different geographies to develop practical learning and habits in cross-country leadership and ideation
  • Site visits and interaction with entrepreneurs/executives
  • Classroom learning facilitated by academic and practitioner experts
