Ajay is a seasoned global executive with 35+ years of multi-country, multi-business, cross-functional experience.

He joined 3M in India in 1988 as its first employee.

He was responsible for forming the JV, building the organization from scratch & launching the IPO.
In the subsequent 28 years with 3M he held positions of increasing responsibility in Singapore (APAC), Austin TX, St, Paul MN & Israel before returning to India in 2008 as the first Indian MD of 3M’s only international public company
During his 5-year stint in India the company’s revenues doubled, market cap quadrupled, local manufacturing scaled up and a major R&D center was set up.
He retired as chairman of Syndicate Bank & is currently chairman, Quantum Advisory Services (a Fairfax JV) & independent director Livinguard A.G (Zug) and Alicon Castalloy Ltd
He is an active innovation evangelist, corporate governance advocate, an angel investor and a mentor to start-ups on leadership development. He is member of various CII committees including Corporate Governance Council; Institute of Quality, Start-up Council, Innovation Summit. He is also on the Advisory Board of the International Institute of Information Technology & the IIMB Israel Center
Ajay holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech., USA.
