Data Centre and Analytics Lab

The Data Centre & Analytics Lab (DCAL) is a centre of excellence in analytics set up by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in 2012. IIMB was one of the first institutions in the country to venture into analytics training, in 2010. Housed in the IIMB Campus, DCAL is a dedicated research and training lab to support interdisciplinary empirical research using data on Indian and other emerging markets.

DCAL is a three-point platform:

State of the art research in the field of analytics and artificial intelligence.
Building advanced analytics solutions.
An analytics teaching and training hub.

WHAT WE DO:
We develop Analytical Models and provide innovative solutions driven by AI algorithms.

We collaborate with industry, academia as well as various government and social sectors to identify and work on diverse business problems.
Our short-term and long-term training programmes, workshops along with several symposiums, conferences and masterclasses on analytics help both academia and practitioners to excel in business analytics and data science and develop an analytical mindset.
Collaboration with industry has helped DCAL create several application-based teaching case studies for practical learning.
