IIMB’s EPGP team wins Global Graduate Business Challenge organized by IIM Ahmedabad’s Forum for Industry Interaction & MBA Society of Haskayne School of Business
The international case study competition, spread across two rounds, tests the competitors’ problem-solving skills
03 February, 2021, Bengaluru: A team from IIM Bangalore comprising Abhinav Goswami and Joel Mathew James, both students of the one-year fulltime MBA programme Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), has won the Global Graduate Business Challenge, organized by the Forum for Industry Interaction, IIM Ahmedabad in association with the MBA Society, Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, Canada.
This was the inaugural edition of the Global Graduate Business Challenge. The one-of-a-kind international case study competition had its Round 1 submissions on January 12, 2021 and Round 2 presentations on January 22 and 23, 2021. The aim of this contest is to evolve into a potent platform for effective collaborations in the future.
The IIMB team had to work with industry experts and compete with students from Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, Harvard Business School, Harvard University, Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, HEC Paris, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and Indian School of Business.
The Global Graduate Business Challenge is a global case-solving competition to test the competitors’ problem-solving skills. Spread across two rounds, the contestants had to get into the shoes of a strategy consultant to solve a real-life case and present strategic solutions to a modern-day business problem infront of senior business leaders. The finale involved contestants making a presentation on their strategy to a jury of eminent professors and corporate leaders.
