IIMB’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management hosts webinars ‘Train like an Athlete’ on May 22 & 29

Subbaraman Vaidyanathan

The sessions, led by mind athlete and corporate leader Subbaraman Vaidyanathan, discuss a four-step framework to raise and sustain personal energy termed R-Box – Run, Refresh, Restore, Rebalance

04 June, 2021, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s two-year weekend Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) hosted two sessions of a webinar: ‘Train like an Athlete’ on May 22nd and May 29th, led by Subbaraman Vaidyanathan, mind athlete and corporate leader. The third session is planned for June 05th.

With changes all around, dissolving work and home boundaries, and an uncertain future, a lot of people are experiencing high levels of stress. In such a state, individuals and leaders who learn to sustain performance under stress will keep progressing in their careers without burnout. ‘Train like an Athlete’ is a four-step framework to raise and sustain personal energy, aiming to empower people to be at their best. The program uses four tools that athletes integrate into their training – which is termed R-Box – Run, Refresh, Restore, Rebalance. An experiential program that trains participants in the science of personal energy and short high impact routines, that can be integrated into daily work and life.

During the session, Subbaraman Vaidyanathan covered these aspects in detail and discussed developing daily stories and a mantra, and rounded off with a personal energy prescription.

An alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Bangalore, Subbaraman Vaidyanathan has led many businesses in Asia. His personal practice of marathoning, yoga, mindfulness and silence helped him sustain himself through his corporate journey. This is what he brings into his programs, which he runs for individuals and leaders from around the world, empowering them and equipping them to be their best under pressure. These programs are experiential and delivered in a way that the practice may continue after the live session.

Subbaraman Vaidyanathan is the Co-founder and Chief Program Architect of Sattvaa Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company with a vision to empower and inspire people to live their best lives. He, along with his wife, also runs BeingSattvaa, a retreat centre at Bali.
