Prayaas at IIM Bangalore organizes free prosthetic limb camp on 9 February
EPGP, supported by PGPEM, partners with Jaipur Foot to aid BPL beneficiaries
13 February, 2025, Bengaluru: Prayaas, the social responsibility initiative led by the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) and supported by the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGEPM) students of IIM Bangalore, organized a free prosthetics limb donation camp, in collaboration with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (Jaipur Foot), on 9 February 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the IIMB campus. The program provided free prosthetic limbs to 17 differently abled individuals that belonged to Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories with the aim of helping the beneficiaries regain mobility and independence.
The camp, which aligned with Prayaas’ 2025 theme of Educate, Empower, and Self-Reliance, ensured that each beneficiary received a custom-fitted prosthetic limb and essential training on its use. Beyond mobility, the initiative facilitated their ability to work, support their families, and engage in daily life in a holistic manner. “I had lost hope of walking again, but today, I feel like I have been given a new lease on life”, said one of the beneficiaries.
