17 July, 2019, Bengaluru: The students of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore are all set to host Vista 2019, the annual international business summit, from July 26 to July 28, 2019. Staying true to its name, Vista provides glimpses of different fields in business and management, including marketing, consulting, finance and operations. Vista, with a rich legacy of excellence for 16 years in hosting a vast array of business events featuring eminent personalities, has set the bar for B-school summits higher.
The theme for Vista 2019 is ‘Command, Conquer, Captivate’. The theme focuses on the importance of visionary leadership to the success of businesses around the world. To achieve success, the leader must strategize and innovate new methods that strengthen the existing business. The three words depict the different set of activities required at different stages of a business and the importance of leadership at each stage.
The summit includes six speaker sessions, panel discussions, over 20 events, and eight workshops, spanning three days. The events and workshops cover different areas, including consulting, marketing, data analytics, finance, and general management with practical takeaways in terms of skills and knowledge for the contemporary aspiring business executive. The meet at IIM Bangalore’s campus is expected to have a footfall of 20,000+ from 100+ institutions.
Vista 2019 has experts from diverse sectors coming to IIM Bangalore as part of its speaker series. The speakers for this year include N. R. Narayana Murthy, Co-founder of Infosys, Nitin Bawankule, Country Director, Google Cloud India, Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and MD, Nestle India and Shridhar Venkat, CEO, The Akshaya Patra Foundation.
Apart from the events and speaker sessions, a lot of entertainment is also in store. Vista 2019 would feature a line-up of artistes including noted stand-up comedian Zakir Khan and one of India’s leading rock bands Agnee.
