4 May, 2020, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will welcome students to the Master of Business Administration (MBA), two-year weekend programme - Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) - on May 08 (Friday), 2020.

The PGPEM batch of 2020-22 will be welcomed on virtual mode, from 03.00 pm to 04.00 pm on that day. In the ESR room, there will be lighting of the lamp by Professor G. Raghuram, Director, IIM Bangalore and Professor Abhoy K Ojha, Dean, Academic Programmes, who will also address the new students. Professor G Sabarinathan, faculty and Chair, Finance & Accounting area and Chair, Master of Business Administration (MBA), one-year fulltime programme - Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) - will deliver the welcome address.

Kapil Sood, Business Head, Thermo Fisher Scientific for South Asia (Life Sciences Group), will deliver the inaugural address. He will be speaking to the students virtually via the ZOOM link provided by the institute.

Kapil Sood is a senior business executive with extensive business transformation, sales growth and leadership experience across varied industries, such as, Information Technology, Test and Measurement and now Life Sciences. Prior to Thermo Fisher, he held senior positions in top organizations like Sun Microsystems India, Oracle India, Tektronix, etc. He is a Fulbright Fellow, Leadership in Management from the Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business.
