15 September, 2022, Bengaluru: In the 20th episode of the ‘IIMB Podcast Series’, Prof. Debolina Dutta of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area and Chairperson, Career Development Services, discussed her research paper titled, ‘Are women from Venus? A mixed method study determining important predictors of job pursuit intention across gender groups’.

The discussion dwelt on the Indian landscape and challenges women face in higher management roles. The episode aimed at developing a gender inclusion perspective among future leaders to fast track corporate involvement in creating suitable policies and work culture.

The IIMB Podcast Series is conducted jointly by the Communications Office and the Student Media Cell of IIM Bangalore. It is a platform to discuss the latest business, economic, management and social issues that are relevant. The Podcast Series witnesses IIM Bangalore fraternity, that is, the faculty members, alumni and students, who provide their insights and perspectives on the topics and issues that surround us. 

With 28 years of work experience, Prof. Debolina Dutta has worked as CHRO for six years in two multi-national firms. She is also a member of the Board of IIM Indore since 2017 and of an NGO, SSISM, which is focused on rural education.

Prof. Dutta was recognized in 2016 by World HRD Congress among the ‘100 Most Influential Global HR Professionals’, in 2017 for the ‘Most Influential HR Leader in India’, and nominated among ‘Top 16 Women HR’ for 2016.
