Session to focus on factors to boost partnerships between businesses and state governments on digitalization to pursue specific SDGs and lessons to be learnt from Karnataka

7 September, 2023, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), along with the Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), will jointly host the 'Stakeholder Dialogue on Digitalisation for Accelerating Sustainable Development Goals in Karnataka', from 1 pm to 4.45 pm on 14th September 2023, at Classroom - N 204 of the institute.

The event will feature a distinguished set of experts who will shed light on various aspects of digitalization and its impact on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The talks will focus specifically on the experiences and opportunities in Karnataka.

The event is part of a series of roundtables organized by CRB with the support of the EU Delegation to India. Previous roundtables were successfully held in Kolkata, Guwahati and Pune, aiming to identify collaborative actions on SDGs.

The key points of discussion include: factors that help strengthen partnerships between businesses and state governments on digitalization to pursue specific SDGs and lessons that can be learnt from Karnataka; impact of technology on state-level stakeholders in Karnataka in addressing challenges and facilitating effective collaboration in specific SDGs; factors that help digitalization promote access, inclusivity and privacy, and the mechanisms that can help create an enabling environment with insights from Karnataka's experience, and experiences with the application of technology in the collection and analysis of data to assess the SDG progress in the state.
