Mizuho India Japan Study Centre to host its 6th Foundation Day on 14th September

Event to include addresses by eminent speakers from academia, industry and policy making areas, video presentation on ‘Milestones @ MIJSC’ and release of the newsletter Sayaka 

13 September, 2023, Bengaluru: The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC), an IIMB Centre of Excellence, will host its 6th Foundation Day on 14th September 2023, from 3 pm to 4.25 pm, at the institute auditorium. 

The keynote speaker of the event is Geetanjali Kirloskar, Chairperson and Managing Director, Kirloskar Systems Limited. The MIJSC Foundation Day will also feature a special address by Hokuto Kaya, Deputy Consul General, Consulate-General of Japan, Bengaluru, on: ‘Building Strong Links between Japan & India’. 

Prof. Jaideep Sarkar, Chairperson, Mizuho India Japan Study Centre and faculty of the Entrepreneurship area of IIMB, will deliver the welcome address. Saideep Rathnam, Chief Operating Officer, Mizuho India Japan Study Centre, IIMB, will deliver the vote of thanks. The event will also include addresses by Deans and other faculty of IIMB; a video presentation on ‘Milestones @ MIJSC’; the release of the newsletter Sayaka, and a cultural program focusing on Japanese traditions.

The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre aims to promote understanding of Japan in India and India in Japan through research, teaching and policy outreach efforts. The centre facilitates collaborative initiatives among academia, industry and government agencies of both the countries to work on areas of mutual interest.
