IIM Bangalore announces the Alumni Service Awards for 2023 as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations
ASA aims to felicitate past graduates with impactful and enduring contributions to the institute, IIMB Alumni Association and the alumni community
10 October, 2023, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has announced the Alumni Service Awards (ASA) for 2023. Launched by IIMB as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, ASA aims to recognize past graduates who have made impactful and enduring contributions to the institute, the IIMB Alumni Association (IIMBAA) and the alumni ecosystem.
The inaugural edition of the awards, which would be conferred annually, will be hosted on the 50th Foundation Day of IIMB, on 28th October 2023. Each ASA awardee receives a citation, and his/her name is engraved on the wall of fame of the institute.
This year, the recipients of the ASA are Shailendra Goswami (PGP 1977), Chairman and Managing Director of Pushkaraj Group, and Saif Qureishi (PGP 1988), Founder, CEO and Managing Director, KRYFS Power Components Ltd. The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the two-year fulltime MBA programme of IIMB.
Feeling honoured and humbled to receive the prestigious IIM Bangalore Alumni Service Award, Shailendra says, “This recognition means the world to me, and I express my heartfelt gratitude to IIMB for this incredible honor. It serves as a reminder of the importance of hard work, dedication and a relentless pursuit of one's passion.”
Reacting to the news of winning the ASA, Saif said, “It is a great honor to receive the first Alumni Service Award and that too on the Golden Jubilee of IIMB, the institution responsible for my successful journey and my best lifelong friends.”
