28 May, 2024, Bengaluru: The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at IIM Bangalore, jointly with the Australian Consulate-General, Bengaluru, will conduct an Australia-India Collaborative Workshop on, ‘Responsible AI: Practical Application and Policy Issues’, from 2 pm to 5 pm on 3 June 2024, at the Central Pergola of the IIMB campus.

Sessions and speakers

The welcome address and introduction to the event will be delivered by Prof. Gopal Naik, Chairperson, Senior Fellow and Jal Jeevan Mission Chair Professor, Centre for Public Policy, IIMB, and Andrew Collister, Australian Consulate-General, Bengaluru. 

The session on, ‘Practical Application of Responsible AI’ will be led by Dr. Liming Zhu, CSIRO; Prof. Rahul Dé, Information Systems area, IIMB; Syed Ahmed, Infosys, and Vibha Bhagchandani, Microsoft. It will be moderated by Krithika Subramanian, Australian Consul-General, Bengaluru.

This will be followed by a session on, ‘Policy Issues for Responsible AI’ by Dr. Liming Zhu; Caitlin Searle, Australian High Commission; Dr. Sarayu Natarajan, Aapti Institute; Ankit Bose, NASSCOM; Sridhar Krishna, Takshashila Institution, and Prof Anil B Suraj, Chairperson of the N.S. Ramaswamy Pre-doctoral Fellowship programme and the Committee on Diversity & Inclusion as well as faculty of the Public Policy area of IIMB. It will be moderated by Prof. Rajalaxmi Kamath, Chairperson of the Internal Committee and faculty of the Public Policy area of IIM Bangalore.
