Policymakers will gather for a three-day seminar on 1-3 October 2024, focused on driving Digital Transformation initiatives

12 September, 2024, Bengaluru: The Centre for Software and IT Management, a Centre of Excellence at IIM Bangalore, will cohost the ninth edition of inSIG 2024, a 3-day seminar as part of its initiative to encourage and enable policymakers to implement Digital Transformation initiatives. The seminar, to be held from October 1-3, 2024, in partnership with the Internet Society India Bengaluru Chapter (ISOC-B), aims to equip participants to actively engage in both national and global Internet governance processes. 

The Youth Internet Governance Foundation Forum (YIGF) is set to take place on September 30, 2024, as part of the Day 0 event. Students of IIM Bangalore are invited to apply for the YIGF fellowship, which offers the chance to join a select cohort of young minds in an experts-led mentorship program focused on Internet governance. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in tech policy discussions and receive a certificate upon successful completion of the program.  

Students can apply by sending their nominations to csitm@iimb.ac.in, and the committee will follow up with participation confirmation.

This year, the sessions on Day 1-3 will delve into themes such as ‘Enhancing Multistakeholderism for Future Governance of the Internet’, ‘Digital Economy- Regulatory Challenges and Opportunities’, ‘Governance of AI & Emerging Tech’ and more. 

ISOC India Bengaluru Chapter is a non-governmental organization that promotes and develops the Internet for everyone, including those interested in advancing the usage, maintenance, development, and the technology of the Internet in all Indian communities, both urban and rural. 

The committee is also seeking student volunteers to assist with spreading awareness ahead of the event. Those interested can express their interest via email at csitm@iimb.ac.in
