Projects led/ initiated in district

Initiated New Pilot Projects:  

  • Careerનામા – Led a Career Exploration and Counselling Program for secondary school students in five districts of Saurashtra Region including Porbandar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Bhavnagar, and Jamnagar in over 50 schools and expected to impact 5000+ students. This is a teacher-driven program in secondary schools that helps students in self-understanding, career exploration, and career planning through monthly activities like aptitude/interest tests, counselling, parents' meetings, and career-related seminars or workshops. 

  • Skillસખા – A mobile application for Aptitude Test, Interest Test, Personality Test and Video Collection of Skills inherent to Porbandar District through District Mineral Fund. 

 

Capacity Building 

  • Covid Warriors: Organized and led the Covid Warriors Crash Course Training of 300 local youth of the district in preparation for third wave of pandemic 

Research 

  • Youth Aspiration Survey: Conducted Youth Aspiration Survey in I.T.I. to understand the trending courses, sources of career counselling, aspirational sectors, etc. 

Institutional Strengthening 

  • Created District Skill Development Plans through convergence of multiple government departments 

  • Designed Monitoring and Evaluation Plan for District Skill Committee
