IIMB’s Executive Education Programmes ties up with Government of Karnataka to offer the Entrepreneurship Training for SC/ST Women Graduates

Registrations are open with the first batch of the programme starting from Aug 16; women graduates up to the age of 45 years from Karnataka are eligible to apply.
29 June, 2022, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s Executive Education Programmes (EEPs), in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, is offering Entrepreneurship Training for SC/ST Women graduates. First batch of the programme is scheduled to start from August 16 (Tuesday), 2022.
This programme will be sponsored by the Karnataka Government. The certificate programme, which is primarily aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs, will also help the existing entrepreneurs scale their ventures.
The Government of Karnataka is envisaging providing training to 300 SC/ST women graduates. Out of the 300 women candidates, 200 SC candidates and 100 ST candidates will undergo the said training. Women graduates (any degree) up to the age of 45 years from Karnataka, under the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, are eligible to apply.
IIMB will conduct an online Aptitude Test of 1 hour 35 minutes for all approved applicants by Department of Social Welfare, GoK. Based on the results, IIMB will finalize the top 300 candidates who will undertake the IIMB certificate programme. They will be distributed into four batches of 75 participants each.
The programme is for the duration of five to six months for each batch of 75 candidates. Programme will be delivered in combination of in-person on campus sessions + Live, Online sessions. Boarding and lodging will be provided at IIMB during the period of on campus training. Medium of instruction for the programme will be English.
The programme cost for 300 candidates will be sponsored by the Department of Social Welfare, GoK and the Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department, GoK. The GoK will also give a stipend to candidates to cover travel related expenses. This payment is subject to the attendance/participation of the trainees.
