IIMB’s Centre for Software & IT Management hosts workshop on ‘Agile Software Development at Scale’

July 23, 2016: The Centre for Software & IT Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore hosted a workshop on ‘Agile Software Development at Scale: Exploring the Management Frontier’ today.
In his keynote address, Prasanna Banavara, Project Manager, Intel, shared Intel’s experiences with practicing agile approaches at scale. His talk was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Distributed Agile Project Management: A myth?’ and the panel comprised Tathagat Varma, Founder & CEO, Thought Leadership, Prof. Shankar Venkatagiri, faculty, IIMB, Ravikumar, Independent Agile Practice consultant, Vinod Sankaranarayanan, Project Manager, Thoughtworks, and Durgaprasad Raghupathi, Agile Coach, GE Healthcare.
The panel focused on management aspects that become critical when organizations deal with large development engagements and dwelt on the philosophies that could potentially harness refined implications for future scaled agile implementations in practice.
