Dialogue for Change – Strengthening Business & Human Rights in India

Ethical Trading Initiative is a leading alliance of companies, trade unions and NGOs that promotes respect for workers' rights around the globe. ETI, in collaboration with IIMB-Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship, invites you to the consultation on the National Action Plan on Business & Human Rights in India on 26 October 2015 at Room No P-12, IIM Bangalore, starting at 10 a.m.
The consultation is aimed at understanding and collating perspective of companies on India’s National Action Plan on Business & Human Rights. It is one of the series of stakeholder consultations organized under the project ‘Dialogue for Change: Strengthening Business & Human Rights in India’, that aims at ascertaining a roadmap for development of a national framework on Business & Human Rights. The project intends to achieve this by promoting conversations among various stakeholders, including governments, business, academia, civil society and media on business and human rights.
The conversations will be informed by research and inputs from partners and experts on the subject. While the research is aimed at understanding the current situation, needs and capacity of the country with respect to business and human rights, a wider set of consultations will help draw out priorities and recommendations on the future of business and human rights in India.
