Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan on Thinkers50 list

Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, of IIIMB, is on the Thinkers50 distinction list this year. The winners were picked based on the votes of peers and corporate leaders. HRD Minister Shashi Tharoor gave away the awards in New Delhi on Friday (August 30, 2013).
Of the 50 thinkers chosen, 17 are based in India and 33 outside India. Of the 17 based in India, 5 are academics - Anil Gupta (IIMA), Pritam Singh, Pradip Khandwalla, Arvind Sahay (IIMA) and Rishikesha T Krishnan (IIMB).
Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan is Professor of Corporate Strategy & Policy at IIMB, and a Visiting Fellow at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Along with Vinay Dabholkar, he has co-authored book titled '8 Steps to Innovation: Going from Jugaad to Excellence'. The book offers a unique eight-step process for creating a systematic innovation capability, which can be transplanted across the board to any business or region. The book received encouraging feedback and heartwarming reviews.
Prior to this, his book 'From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India', published in February 2010, identified the challenges faced by Indians in enhancing industrial innovation and proposed an agenda to enhance innovation output.
