19 JUNE, 2024: The Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability (CCGS) at IIM Bangalore will host the second edition of the Young Directors Forum (YDF) virtually on 27th June 2024. R Mukundan, Managing Director & CEO, Tata Chemicals Ltd and Vice President, CII, will inaugurate the forum and address the participants. Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Professor of Finance & Accounting at IIMB and Chairperson, CCGS, will chair the programme. 

The IIMB-CCGS Young Directors Forum is a unique engagement platform to enhance Board effectiveness. This highly focused learning programme is for board members and senior management executives from private, public and family-managed businesses and independent directors. The participants can be from SMEs, listed companies, unlisted private companies and start-ups and  will come together for capability development and mentorship. They will be introduced to Corporate Governance practices, policies and culture. 

The programme involves two-and-a-half hours online sessions on the last Thursday of every month from June to December 2024. Collaborative learning, individual feedback and sharing of first-hand experiences by guest speakers, who have served in board leadership roles in a range of organisations are the key differentiators of the programme. Experts from IIMB and industry will discuss Corporate Governance & ESG policies and practices by Indian companies and global organisations.
