IMPACT OF DIMENSIONS OF ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE ON EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION AND PERFORMANCE LEVEL IN SELECT ORGANISATIONS
The study discusses the role of developmental culture and relational cultural dimensions in the organisation on the employees’ job performance and satisfaction level. The model examines the mediating role of psychological capital in the association of organisational culture with employees’ performance and satisfaction levels. The satisfaction level of employees is taken as a second-order factor and includes dimensions like job satisfaction and the life satisfaction level of employees. The data are collected using a stratified random sampling technique from the public sector, represented by select banks, insurance companies, and universities in India. The methodology involved the use of the structural equation modelling method for determining the association among the identified variables. The results of the study reveal that there is a significant and positive influence of organisational culture on employees’ job performance. Job performance positively affects the job and life satisfaction levels of people in organisations. Psychological capital plays a significant, partially mediating role between organisational culture and employees’ job performance.
