Women’s Day at IIM Bangalore

07 March, 2017: The Human Resources Department of IIM Bangalore and the NSRCEL at IIMB have put together a host of events for Women’s Day.

The week-long celebrations include a 5 km-run, competitions in art and public speaking and sports.

On March 8, there is an exhibition and stalls will be set up by women entrepreneurs at the Central Pergola.

At 3 pm, writer Reshma Krishnamurthy will deliver a short talk on ‘Women and Motherhood’. Reshma is the founder of ‘Mums and Stories’. Jacintha Jayachandran, founder of NOW or Nurturing Outstanding Women, will speak on ‘Women at Workplace’ and will focus on what it takes to enable women to stay in the workforce and why it matters. Prof. Dalhia Mani, from NSRCEL at IIMB and Prof. Ana Marques, Visiting Faculty at IIMB, will lead a discussion on ‘Women in Management Across Countries’. All the talks will be held at Classroom N-103. The talks will be followed by prize distribution by Prof. G. Raghuram, Director, IIMB.
