PGP student Shreya Garg wins Citi Woman Leader Award 2016

Contest had 1300+ applicants from 13 premier B-schools across India, out of which six toppers were awarded scholarship of INR 4 lakhs in the final round held in Mumbai
27 JUNE, 2016: Citibank has declared Shreya Garg, a student of IIMB’s PGP batch of 2015-17, as the winner of the Citi Woman Leader Award 2016, given to potential future women leaders. By bagging the coveted award, Shreya carries forward the legacy as IIMB students have won this award consistently for the last two years.
The selection is based on academic as well as extra-curricular achievements, along with multiple rounds of interview with the Citibank leadership and tasks conducted by Citibank. This year, there were 1300+ applicants from 13 premier B-schools across India, out of which the six toppers were awarded a scholarship of INR 4 lakhs. The final round of the event was held in Mumbai, where the participants got a chance to interact with the senior leadership of Citibank, which Shreya says was a great learning experience.
She was also awarded the ASEM DUO Flanders Scholarship 2016 by the Belgian government to provide support for her term at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, as an exchange student during Term 5. The selection was made based on the Statement of Purpose and her academic achievements. This is the first time that such a scholarship has been awarded to an IIMB student and the scholarship entails an amount of 3500 Euros.
Thanking her mentors for her win, she says: “I was able to achieve both these honors only because of the guidance and support of the professors who helped me through every step of the process. I look forward to achieving more in the future.”
