Best Case Award for Prof. Ganesh Prabhu: His case on ‘Jaipur Rugs: Weaving Together 40000 Artisans’, co-authored with Prof. Devi Vijay of IIMC, is cited by ET-FLAME as ‘Best Case’
Professor Ganesh N Prabhu, from the Corporate Strategy and Policy area at IIM Bangalore, and Professor Devi Vijay, from IIM Calcutta and an alumnus of IIMB’s Fellow Programme in Management, have been jointly awarded the ‘ET Cases - Flame Best Case Writer Award’ at the Flame Case Conference at Flame University in Pune on July 10-11, 2015.
The award is for their co-authored case, ‘Jaipur Rugs: Weaving Together 40000 Artisans’, which was judged the ‘Best Case’. The case is used at Professor Ganesh Prabhu’s course in New Product Development at IIMB and Professor Devi Vijay’s course at IIMC. It is also at the R&R stage in a journal.
Professor Ganesh Prabhu’s areas of research and teaching are product innovation, strategic management and entrepreneurship. He has published in leading journals like the Academy of Management Review and Research Policy, and was invited to be on the editorial board of the Journal of Management, US.
