Aishwarya Ramasundaram wins AIM-Sheth research grant for her thesis essay

20 October, 2018, Bengaluru: Aishwarya Ramasundaram, a doctoral student in the Marketing area at IIM Bangalore, has won the AIM-Sheth research grant for one of her thesis essays titled, ‘Point of No Return’.
The call for research proposals was announced by the AIM-Sheth foundation in April 2018. It was very well received by researchers from India and abroad, and overall 52 proposals were submitted under three different tracks – Consumer Behaviour, Managerial Marketing, and Marketing Analytics. Two proposals from each track were to be selected for the grant of INR 1,00,000 each. After going through a rigorous vetting and review process, six proposals were selected for the grant. Aishwarya’s research proposal was selected under the Managerial Marketing Track. The research forms part of her thesis on E-commerce shopping behaviour and is guided by Professor Avinash Mulky, Faculty, Marketing area at IIMB. It explores post-purchase behaviour after a service failure in an online shopping context.
Founded in 2009, Academy of Indian Marketing (AIM) is a consortium of leading management institutions offering world-class management education and research activities through doctoral and equivalent programs. Collaboration between Academy of Indian Marketing (AIM) and Sheth Foundation resulted in Sheth Foundation board agreeing to provide a sum of US $10,000 grant to AIM. The grant aims to encourage Indian scholars from diverse backgrounds to work effectively and publish in top international journals.
