IIMB offers custom training to AAI executives in general management

The 5-day programmes will be conducted at the premier B-school’s Bangalore campus

02 April, 2018, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India (AAI), through which IIMB will offer custom training programmes to AAI executives, in the area of general management. The agreement was signed in the presence of Professor G. Raghuram, Director, IIMB, Professor R Srinivasan, Chair, Executive Education Programmes, IIMB, Sanjay Jain, Executive Director (HR), AAI, and other AAI officials and Board members.

“This programme further reinforces the leadership that IIM Bangalore enjoys in the Aerospace and Aviation sector coming as it is on the back of our successful Aerospace MBA programme in partnership with Toulouse Business School, France and other programmes on infrastructure and Public Private Partnership. We hope that this will go a long way in equipping the Airport Managers with the skills needed to contribute to the development of the critical infrastructure requirement of the country,” said Prof. R. Srinivasan, Chair, Executive Education Programmes, IIM Bangalore.

The training programmes are targeted at AAI executives grouped into three categories – Functional Heads comprising Executive Directors & General Managers, Senior Management comprising Joint General Managers, and Middle Management comprising Assistant General Managers. Each batch is expected to have 20 participants. The maximum number of participants per batch will be restricted to 30.

Although the initial plan is for one batch each for the 2018-2019, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 sessions, the number of batches may be increased at a later stage.

All the training programmes will be conducted for a period of five days, at the IIMB campus.
