IIM Bangalore PGP students Arushi Bansal, Ayushi Agarwal and Siddharth Mittal awarded the Aditya Birla Scholarships for the current academic year
Altogether 160 applications from nine select IIMs, XLRI and FMS were evaluated, out of which 36 students were identified as the ones with potential, from which a mere 15 made the cut for the scholarship
21 February, 2022, Bengaluru: Arushi Bansal, Ayushi Agarwal and Siddharth Mittal, students of IIM Bangalore’s two-year full time MBA: Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), have been awarded the Aditya Birla Scholarships for the 22nd Aditya Birla Scholarships Programme Class of 2021-22.
A total of 160 applications from nine select Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Xavier School of Management (XLRI) and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) were evaluated, out of which 36 students were identified as ones with the potential to become leaders for tomorrow. Out of these 36, a mere 15 made the cut for the scholarship. Abhishek Tiwari, Anurag Rathi, Arushi Bansal, Ayushi Agarwal and Siddharth Mittal were shortlisted from IIM Bangalore for the scholarship.
This year, due to the pandemic, the interaction with the candidates was conducted in the virtual mode. The interviews were held on February 19 (Saturday), 2022 and the award announcements were made on the same evening.
The apex Board for the Aditya Birla Scholarships Programme have Kumar Mangalam Birla (Chairperson of the Aditya Birla Group) as the Chairman and Mrs Rajashree Birla as the patron.
Congratulating the IIMB Aditya Birla Scholars for the current academic year, Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, said: “That is a wonderful achievement. I hope you will live up to the expectations of the scholarship”.
The Aditya Birla Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to PGP students of both the first and second years. The students who are granted the scholarship during the first year are eligible to apply for renewal in the second year, provided they belong to the top 25% of the batch in the first year.
