WEBINAR: Communicating Effectively in the Virtual World

25 May 2020, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s Centre for Management Communication (CenComm) will host a webinar on ‘Communicating Effectively in the Virtual World’ on June 06, 2020. Dr. Diti Vyas, Faculty of Communications, Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM), will deliver the talk.

In the face of the ongoing pandemic situation, work-from-home has become a norm for most of us and is predicted to remain an integral feature of the new normal. While using digital communication platforms, it is vital to revisit and reconfigure one’s communication tactics to make them more medium-friendly. Using theories and research in digital communication, Prof. Vyas will explain strategies and behaviours that can help to establish trust, increasing performance, and enhancing presence in the virtual space.

Prof. Diti Vyas heads the Communication Area at AIIM, Ahmedabad. Currently an Associate Professor, she has an experience of more than 18 years of academic teaching and research as well as corporate consulting and training. Prof. Vyas specializes in offering curated experiential courses in Management Communication with deep industry interface embedded in them. She has mentored and coached many mid-career executives from Adani Group, Sterling Hospital, Apollo Hospital, State Bank of India, Rubber King Tyres, and many more through various Management Development Programmes (MDPs) in the areas of Leadership Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
