IIM Bangalore’s Data Centre & Analytics Lab to host the Eleventh Symposium on Business Analytics and Intelligence on July 09 & 10

09 June, 2021, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s Data Centre & Analytics Lab (DCAL) will host the Eleventh Symposium on Business Analytics and Intelligence on July 09 and 10, 2021, from 09:30 am.

Due to current restrictions for crown gatherings, this year’s symposium is being hosted on the virtual platform.

The last date for registration and payment is July 03, 2021.

As part of the symposium, working professionals and students from IIMB’s programme in Business Analytics and Intelligence (BAI - Batch 11) will be presenting their projects in the analytics domain. The projects have been undertaken in collaboration with various organizations on real-life problems/data. These projects were procured from different sectors like Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Real Estate, Oil & Energy, Sports, Skill-Development & Training and Financial Solutions. This year’s symposium will see about 16 different projects being presented detailing the problem statement, approach, outcome and impact.

This symposium is an apt platform to understand the application of Analytics and Big Data in various disciplines of management and how they are being used for solving domain and sector specific problems.

The DCAL at IIMB has been set up to support interdisciplinary empirical research using data on primarily Indian as well as other emerging markets. The vision of this initiative is to be India’s most comprehensive research data source.
