ICFAI Best Teacher Award for Professor Shyamal Roy
Professor Shyamal Roy received the ICFAI Best Teacher Award on the occasion of the 22nd AIMS Annual Management Education Convention 2010, held at the India Habitat Centre at New Delhi on August 26-28, 2010. Instituted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), the purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding teachers in Indian management schools.
Shyamal Roy is Professor in the area of Economics & Social Sciences at IIMB. He completed MA (Economics) from Delhi University and PhD (Agri. Economics) from the University of Missouri at Columbia, USA.
Professor Roy's key research interests are Economic Policy; Agricultural Policy; Organizational Restructuring; Turn-around strategy; Manpower Planning; Project evaluation and impact studies
Professor Roy teaches Macro Economic Theory and International Business to masters and doctoral level students at IIMB. Additionally, he provides consultancy services to the corporate sector and to the government on policy matters.
