PGPEM cohort to host an HR Summit on ‘The Future of Work: Adapting, Innovating & Thriving’ on 30th July

Summit to include keynote speeches and panel discussions on the challenges of the changing HR landscape and strategies shaping the future of the workplace

25 July, 2023, Bengaluru: The cohort of IIM Bangalore’s two-year MBA for working professionals, Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), will host an HR Summit from 9 am to 6 pm on 30th July 2023, themed on ‘The Future of Work: Adapting, Innovating & Thriving’.

The summit will include keynote speeches and panel discussions, and will provide valuable networking opportunities. The discussions will revolve around the challenges of the ever-evolving HR landscape as well as innovative strategies that can shape the future of the workplace.  

Prof. Allen P Ugargol, Chairperson, Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management and faculty of Public Policy at IIM Bangalore, will deliver the welcome address and the vote of thanks. 

The talk on, ‘The Role of Artificial Intelligence and Automation in the Workplace’ will be delivered by Ira Gupta, Head Of Human Resources (India) and Board Member, Microsoft. The Fireside Chat on ‘Future Skills: Navigating the Shift in Job Requirements’ will include Prof. Vasanthi Srinivasan, faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area and Chairperson, Digital Learning, IIMB, and Pawan Bhageria, President Global HR (CHRO), Education & Strategic Projects, Tata Technologies.

The summit will also feature a session titled, ‘Ask me Anything’, which would be a networking session with senior executives and speakers of the summit.

There will be three panel discussions at the summit. The first one titled, ‘Leadership in the Digital Age: Inspiring and Motivating Teams’, will feature Soumitra Das, Global CHRO, Randall Group; Varadharaju Janardhanan, VP – HR, Flipkart; Pranav Kumar, Director – Digital Experience, AI and Analytics, Capgemini, and Munish Basrar, Director – Private Equity Group, Bain and Company. The session will be moderated by Prof. E S Srinivas of the OB&HRM area of IIMB. 

The second one on: ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ will feature Shalini Nataraj, Global Head, HR Transformation & Delivery, A.P. Moller – Maersk; Tina Vinod, Founder & CEO, Diversity Simplified; Gaurav Ahluwalia, Managing Director – Human Resources, JPMorgan Chase, and Kirti Poddar, Customer Advisory Board, LinkedIn, Global Talent Acquisition Head & Corporate HR, ACG World. Professor Apurva Sanaria, faculty from the OBHRM area, will be moderating the Diversity and Inclusion panel discussion.

The third panel discussion titled, ‘Future of Remote Work: Challenges and Strategies’ will include Shekhar Sanyal, Global Strategic Theme Lead – Skills, Learning and Networks, Institution of Engineering and Technology; Vinutha Raja, Senior Director – HR, Sony India Software Centre; Swapneel Singh, Director – HR Transformation and Delivery, GlobalFoundries; Capt. Pranav Prasoon Thakur, and Hakim Badshah, Senior Vice President – Talent Services, Deloitte. Prof. Abhoy K Ojha, faculty of the OB&HRM area of IIMB, will be the moderator.
