Prof. Arpit Shah to lead workshop on ‘Research Using Spatial Data’ on 26 August

Workshop to be part of 19th International Conference on Public Policy & Management hosted by Centre for Public Policy from 27-29 Aug 

19 August, 2024, Bengaluru: Prof. Arpit Shah, faculty of the Public Policy area of IIMB, will lead a workshop on, ‘Research Using Spatial Data’ from 3 pm to 4.30 pm on 26 August 2024, to be held at the MDC Conference Hall of IIMB. The pre-conference workshop is part of the XIX International Conference on Public Policy & Management, to be hosted by the Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at IIM Bangalore from 27 to 29 August 2024. The Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) South Asia Working Group is collaborating with CPP for the workshop and poster session of the conference.

The CPP conference will comprise academic sessions, topical policy debates, workshops, panel discussions and practitioner-oriented discussions on contemporary topics in public policy and management. The conference is ideal for academicians, students, research scholars, policy practitioners, lawyers, NGO professionals and others with an interest in public policy. The themes for the 2024 conference include: Emerging Technologies and Policy Implications; Policies on Climate Change and Sustainability in Industry and Agriculture; Policy Challenges in Gig and Platform Economy, and Innovations in Public Policy. 

The 19th CPP Public Policy & Management conference will kick off with the pre-conference lecture on, ‘Understanding and Harnessing Linkages between Sustainable Transport and Livability for Building Brand Bengaluru’, to be led by Prof. Ashish Verma, Transportation Systems Engineering, Convenor, IISc Sustainable Transportation Lab, Department of Civil Engineering, IISc Bangalore, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm on 26 August 2024. Mr. Suman Bery, Vice Chairperson, NITI Aayog, will deliver the inaugural address of the conference on, ‘Reaping India's Demographic Dividend’, from 9 am to 10 am on 27 August 2024.
