14 November, 2024, Bengaluru: Centre for Capital Markets & Risk Management (CCMRM)—a Centre of Excellence at IIM Bangalore, and NSE Academy will host a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘The transformative impact of financial modeling in finance and accounting’ on 21 November 2024, from 10 am to 5 pm at Classroom N001, IIMB. The complementary programme, organized in association with Financial Modeling Institute (FMI), Canada, is designed specifically for faculty members aiming to deepen their understanding of financial modeling and its essential role in shaping future-ready finance and accounting professionals.

Ian Schnoor, CFA, CFM
Executive Director, Financial Modeling Institute
Ian Schnoor is the Executive Director of Financial Modeling Institute, the world's only financial modeling accreditation organization. Ian developed and created the Financial Modeling Practical Skills Module for CFA Institute that was launched in 2024.
For 15 years, Ian has been an adjunct lecturer in the Master of Finance program at Queen's University in Canada, teaching a course known as ‘Advanced Financial Modeling’. Ian is also a two-time recipient of the Professor of the Year award.
Ian began his career in the Investment Banking departments at Citigroup and BMO Capital Markets. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree with academic distinction and is also a CFA charter holder. In 2002, Ian founded The Marquee Group, a leading provider of financial modeling training and consulting, which was sold to Training The Street in 2023. Ian is a passionate teacher who has trained thousands of students and professionals in practical financial modeling skills.
