The two-day event will include analytics case competition ‘Bits & Bytes’, virtual scavenger hunting game ‘Search and Scavenge’, crossword testing the knowledge of analytics jargons ‘Crosswords’ and virtual treasure hunt game ‘Treasure Hunt’ 

19 March, 2021, Bengaluru: The Analytics Society of the students of the two-year MBA programme at IIM Bangalore is organizing the third edition of Spectra, the annual analytical festival, on March 19 and 20, 2021. This two-day event aims to keep up with the changing dynamics of the real world by introducing a new way of logical thinking. A case event, coupled with several on-spot events and social media engagements, Spectra combines analytics with fun and aims to generate excitement among the participants.

Spectra’s flagship event would be ‘Bits & Bytes’, an analytics case competition, in association with Wells Fargo, a financial services firm. ‘Bits & Bytes’ is a nationwide case competition with participation from top business and engineering colleges across the country. This case competition will provide great exposure to the students to working on real-time problem statements, which would be essential in supplementing their learning during the remaining course period.

Apart from the case competition, Spectra would also host several fun events such as ‘Search and Scavenge’ – a virtual scavenger hunting game, ‘Crosswords’ – a speed-based crossword testing the knowledge of analytics jargons and ‘Treasure Hunt’ – a virtual treasure hunt game involving many riddles and puzzles.

The events: ‘Treasure Hunt’ and ‘Crosswords’ would be held on March 19 (Friday), 2021, while ‘Bits & Bytes’ Case Presentation Round and ‘Search & Scavenge’ would be held on March 20 (Saturday), 2021.
