Ilango
Akhil Ilango is an Assistant Professor in Economics and an IIMB Young Faculty Research Chair. His research interests are broadly in the area of theoretical and empirical Industrial Organisation, with a focus on understanding how sponsored advertisements on digital platforms affect firms' pricing problem, and competition within the platform. His research work also comprises of using text data and machine learning, with applications to non-market strategies (e.g., lobbying), caste networks, firm growth, and data/information intermediaries. His teaching interests are in the area of Microeconomics, Industrial Organisation, and Digital Economy.
