Summary

I am a tenured Professor in the Decision Sciences area, with  appoinment with department of Finance and  Center of Public Policy at IIM Bangalore. I was an IIMB Chair Professor of Excellence. I did  serve in  the editorial boards of several top journals including the Journal of the American statistical Association, Journal of the Royal statistical Society (A) and Biometrics. I am a fellow of ABFER, academic fellow of Louhan Academy, and Programme co-Director "Tech, Digital Markets and AI" for ABFER. 

My research focuses on  Fintech, Household finance, Development Finance and AI and has been published in Journals like Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Sciences, Science Advances, Journal of the American statistical Association, Biometrika among others. My research has also been cited  by World Bank, various departments of Government of India, Niti Aayog, Reserve Bank of India as well as in various industry reports.

My research has a strong interdisciplinary focus and aim to explore how technology, digital intelligence, algorithm, and social science can transform corporates, policy and humanity. My research interest utilizing the above core strength span several topics in Fintech AI, Household finance, Sustainability. I use a data-based approach and exploit policy shocks in emerging markets like India, to study the above-mentioned topics and its impact on consumer behaviour. The research has implications for business, government agencies and monetary authorities in India. I work closely with them to use the results of my research towards practical implications.
