My research has focused on family businesses and entrepreneurship. I primarily use an organizational theory lens, and specifically a network theory and method lens. My prior research has been published in American Journal of Sociology, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Ethics, and Asia-Pacific Journal of Management. I teach entrepreneurship at the MBA and executive education level, and I also coordinate our 6-month long certificate program for family businesses. At the doctoral level, I teach a course on Network theory and analysis, and I also teach a classical sociological theory course, which covers Weber, Marx, Durkheim, Mead, Foucault, Bourdieu, Goffman, Fanon etc. I did my PhD in Sociology from the University of Minnesota (2010), and then worked in HEC Paris France as an Assistant Professor on the tenure track from 2010-2016, before moving to IIMB, India. Prior to doing my PhD, I worked in ICICI Ltd.
