IIMB SPIC MACAY chapter presents Yamini cohosted with Brigade Foundation 

The dusk to dawn Indian music and dance concert will be held on the eve of Republic Day

17 January, 2025, Bengaluru: SPIC MACAY - IIMB Chapter is set to return with its annual cultural extravaganza, Yamini 2025, in partnership with Brigade Foundation. The dusk-to-dawn classical music and dance concert will be held from 07:30 pm, January 25, to 06:30 am, January 26, at the Open-Air Theatre (OAT) of the IIM Bangalore campus.

The flagship cultural event, which is open to members within and outside of the IIMB community, aims to bring rich cultural diversity to our youth, and in turn, bring the youth of the country closer to our culture and heritage. In its 21st edition, the event is set to feature the following scintillating lineup of performances by artists of repute from all over the country.

Vidwan D. Balakrishna (SNA awardee) will perform a Veena concert, accompanied by B.S. Prashanth on Mridangam and Shamith Gowda (Ghatam); Pt. Ronu Majumdar (SNA awardee and holder of Guinness Book of World Records) with Pt. Anindo Chatterjee (SNA awardee and Padma nominee) will follow with a Hindustani Flute and Tabla showcase; Kalamandalam Balasubramaniam (SNA awardee) & troupe will deliver a Kathakali performance; Vidwan Saketharaman (SNA’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar awardee) with Nishanth Chandran (Violin), Delhi Sairam (Mridangam) and Rajashekar (Morsing) will take the stage with Carnatic vocals. The overnight showcase will conclude with Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar (Padma Shri awardee) presenting Dhrupad, supported by Mohan Shyam Sharma (Pakhavaj), John Haywood, Rinku Lamba and Jagannath Rao (Tanpura).
