On February 28, 2025, the TONGALI Group from Nagoya University’s entrepreneurship cell visited IIM Bangalore (IIMB) and was warmly welcomed by MIJSC. The young entrepreneurs were introduced to India’s management landscape, its historical evolution, and current trends.
Mr. Saideep Rathnam, COO of MIJSC, provided an insightful overview, tracing India’s industrial vision from Jawaharlal Nehru’s era to the expansion of IIMs into 20 premier institutes. He also highlighted the introduction of specialized courses such as the Executive MBA and other niche management programs.
Following his presentation, an engaging discussion took place, where the students expressed curiosity about the Indian market, compared it with Japan, and explored the strengths of Indian talent and business opportunities.
The next session featured startup pitch presentations by the young entrepreneurs. Their ideas were evaluated by industry veterans from IIMB, including Mr. Arul Kumar Palani, Advisor to MIJSC, and Dr. Aditya Gupta, COO of the Centre for Supply Chain and Sustainability Management at IIMB.
