One of our key focus areas is scientific research and policy driven by data. Given the relatively opaque state of the sector, we believe data will bring in the fresh sense of transparency and drive away misgivings faced by the sector. This mandates collating, curating and having access to accurate data. Both primary data as well as secondary data are key to this process. Currently, IIMB-RERI are the largest repository of secondary data in the RE space in India. In terms of primary data, we regularly conduct and update the state of the sector survey, the last one being in the May 2020. We have also created many indices like the Housing Sentiment Index and Seller Sentiment Index
